The pain from Clarissa’s labour is intense. She cries out and Serafina has to help her down the stairs to the nursery.
Serafina’s words of encouragement help, but Clarissa just wants it all to be over. It feels like hours before her baby is finally ready to enter the world.
As she holds her new baby girl in her arms, she feels complete at last. “What is her name?” Serafina smiles at the sight of the new mother with her baby.
“Maria.” Clarissa sighs. “After my mother.”
The celebrations continue as Yolanda takes the plunge into Elderhood. All she can think about is joining Katrina at the temple. She has missed her dearly and wants to begin planning their wedding.
The happy couple are off in their own little world again.
It is finally time for the Heiress to celebrate her birthday. Everyone gathers to witness her birthday.
Katrina’s eyesight seems to be playing up, as she is still waiting for Ayla to walk past.
Serafina smiles at her little girl. “I am so proud of you.” She kisses her on the forehead before helping her blow out the candles.
Ayla ages into a beautiful young girl and looks a lot like her mother, however she has her father’s eyes.
As a Genius, she cannot wait to show Katrina her fancy new inventions.
After the celebrations are over, Ayla and Reyna escape to the monkey bars together. Reyna thinks that Ayla is lucky to have such an amazing life. She feels sad when she thinks about the fact that she has no mother.
The girls have a lot of fun together, regardless of their different circumstances. If only they knew how much they had in common.
