Adam and Dina were settling into their new home nicely and were really enjoying life as an engaged couple. Adam had started a new job at Make a Dish where Dina worked and was doing well with his cooking. He loved making breakfast each morning while Dina was in the shower. His favourite part was experimenting with new recipes and watching as Dina volunteered as his taste tester. She always gave good advice and was honest if she thought it needed something.
Dina emerged from the bedroom just as Adam was serving up. “It smells really good. What is it?” She grinned at him as she sat down. “Banana and Cinnamon Pancakes.” He sat next to her. “I love Banana!” She raised her hands in excitement. As they ate their breakfast, they talked about the wedding and who was going to be there. Adam didn’t really know anyone well enough to add to the guest list and Dina only wanted a small, intimate wedding so it worked out pretty well. When she mentioned that Don was on the list, Adam’s stomach turned. He had hoped he would never have to meet him.
Before long, the big day had arrived and Adam made his way to the Newcrest Park & Gardens. They had both decided it would be the perfect location since that was where they had first met and had their first date. They hired a Pianist to set the mood for a romantic and intimate ceremony. Adam was sure that everything would go to plan and that it would be the best day of both of their lives. He stood at the end of the aisle, patiently waiting for Dina to arrive. He couldn’t wait to see how beautiful she looked in her wedding dress.
Adam wasn’t disappointed. He thought she looked absolutely stunning. Looking deep into her beautiful green eyes, he said his vows with confidence. “Dina, from the moment I met you near this very park, I was hooked. I had never met anyone who had made me feel so comfortable with talking about my life. There was just something about you that made my heart flutter whenever I looked at you. I love everything about you, the way your eyes light up when you smile, the way you encourage me to follow my dreams and the way you sound when you laugh. I love how you laugh at my silly jokes, no matter how bad they are. You are the only one for me, Dina. I can’t wait to grow old with you.”
Dina smiled, then shrugged. “How on earth am I going to top that?” She thought for a moment. “Ok, here goes. Adam, I never thought I would be lucky enough to be loved by such an amazing, hardworking, beautiful man like you. I thought I would spend the rest of my life married to my career. And then you came along. The man of so many girls’ dreams, and yet you chose me. I can’t express how privileged I feel to be standing here with you right now. You have turned my life upside down for the better and I promise to continue to support you and encourage you. I promise to always be there for you, no matter what. You are and will always be my goofy cowboy. I love you with all of my heart and soul.”
Adam looked at Dina and smiled. “So competitive,” he winked. Taking her hand, he pulled the ring out of his pocket and slipped it onto her finger. “You look beautiful, by the way.”
They looked into each other’s eyes, no longer boyfriend and girlfriend, no longer engaged, but as husband and wife and the first couple to be married in Newcrest. It was the beginning of the rest of their lives and neither of them could be happier than they were in that moment.
They shared their first kiss as a married couple, causing Nina and Katrina to shed a tear. It was a beautiful ceremony and not a thing went wrong. “I love you, Mayor McClure.” Dina looked at her husband. “And I love you, Mrs. McClure.” Adam kissed her again before turning to the guests and inviting them to enjoy a few drinks at the bar for the reception.
Just an extra photo of the newlyweds as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Also, side note- as you may have noticed, Dina underwent a slight makeover. I’m not a huge fan of the yellow hair in the game and normally I change it to the actual blonde. In Dina’s case, both her mum and her sister have red hair, so I figured she had tried to go blonde but it didn’t work. So, for all intents and purposes, Dina has changed back to her natural hair colour. Also, I think it suits her better 🙂
